Alongside the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and other state institutions, KOLEKTOR is main partner of the Slovenian Olympic House at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
As Mr. Stojan Petrič, Honorary Consul of South Korea in Slovenia and Chairman of the Advisory Board, pointed out at signing of the agreement, we must all look up to the athletes who, on daily basis and year after year, make almost inhuman effort to achieve good results."Not everyone reaches the top. Only those who are devoted, true fighters, persistent, those who live by their values, open up to the team spirit and have a strong desire to become different, better, a winner. "
KOLEKTOR entered the South Korean market 17 years ago when it purchased a Korean company Sinyung, today known as the Kolektor Sinyung. This was the first Slovenian investment in South Korea. "Our contribution to the Olympics in Pyongyang is financial support to the Slovenian house and sponsorship of the Slovenian biathlon team. By doing so, we wish to ensure our athletes and other participants a pleasant stay in a country that is 5,000 miles away from home, " Mr. Petrič said, and added:" Now, beforehand, we congratulate all athletes for their successes. The honor to represent one`s country at the Peace games is not given, it is well earned. We wish them to collect as many medals as possible. "
After a pause of eight years, Slovenia will present itself with the Slovenian House during the Olympic Games in South Korea. The house will be mainly a place for gathering of Slovenian athletes and members of the accompanying teams. Furthermore, it will promote Slovenian tourism, economy and culture, cuisine, in short - Slovenia as a whole.
The house will be of an open type, and will hold more specifically organized economic and touristic meetings hosted by the Olympic Committee of Slovenia in cooperation with the partners of the house. Visits of the representatives of the Slovenian political summit and celebrations for won medals are also expected to take place.
The Slovenian house will be only two kilometers away from the Olympic Village, while Austria, the United States, Sweden and Switzerland will have their houses in the immediate vicinity.
The agreement on the main partnership of the Slovene House was signed by the Chairman of the Advisory Board, mr. Stojan Petrič and the president of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, mr. Bogdan Gabrovec.
